A Message from Kermit Marsh
I am honored that you have chosen to visit my website. We have designed this website to help you learn more about me and about my campaign for Superior Court Judge.
Having served the public, private and non-profit sectors for more than twenty years, I would be honored by the opportunity to serve as part of our local, Orange County judiciary.
I have served for the past ten years as a City Councilman in my hometown of Westminster, for the past three years as Chairman of the Board of Garden Grove Hospital and Medical Center, and for the past eighteen years as a practicing attorney. In addition to serving on the Westminster City Council, my public service includes currently serving as a Director of the Orange County Fire Authority, as a Member of several Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) committees, and on numerous public boards.
In addition to my Chairmanship of Garden Grove Hospital and Medical Center, I also currently serve our community on the Board of Directors of the Boy Scouts of America, Orange County Council. I am a Former Chairman of the Boy Scouts of America, Orange Frontier District, Former President of the Boys and Girls Club of Westminster, and Former Chaplain of th eOrdo Supremus Militaris Templi Hierosolymitani (Knights Templars).
I earned my degrees from Stanford University and Boalt Hall, at the University of California, Berkeley. I belong to the honor societies Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Epsilon.
As an attorney, I have represented businesses and individuals, local governments, universities and healthcare providers. I have represented clients before a broad range of forums, including the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, the California Medical Board, the California State Board of Equalization, the United States District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of California, the United States District Courts for Arizona, Nevada and Oregon (pro hac vice), the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the California Superior Courts, the California Courts of Appeal for the First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Districts, and the California Supreme Court, as well as numerous arbitration and mediation groups. I have always strived to provide my clients with the best possible representation, while adhering strictly to the principles of ethics and professionalism. I have previously been honored by the Journal of Law and Politics and by Los Angeles Magazine as a Southern California SuperLawyer.
My professional experience includes quasi-judicial duties. I have served either as the jurist or on a panel of jurists in reviewing: employee appeals, in my capacity as a City Councilman; employee appeals, in my capacity as President of the Boys and Girls Club of Westminster; physician appeals, in my capacity as Chairman of the Board of Garden Grove Hospital and Medical Center; and, ethics hearings, in my former capacity as Ethics Chair for the County party.
I am honored to have been endorsed by dozens of elected officials at the federal, state, county and local level, but judges and school board trustees, by special district directors, attorneys and private citizens. I am particularly grateful to be the only civil attorney currently running for judge to be endorsed by Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas.
My wife Wendy and I have three wonderful children, and they, along with your children, are the reason why we must all work preserve our Orange County as a safe, family-friendly community for all of us to share.
